Education Compendium

The International Education Compendium is an extensive bibliography of over 450 annotated bibliographic references on key issues in education reform and management.  Each entry contains an abstract of approximately 150 words along with complete bibliographic information.It was developed by the Comparative International Education Society (CIES) for our web site. 

The International Education Compendium was started at the initiative of former CIES President Gary Thiesen and subsequently followed-up by Fernando Reimers, as Chair of the Task Force on Strengthening the Links between Research and Practice in International Education.   The project was brought to its present stage of completion under the leadership of William Cummings as President of CIES, who was assisted by a coordinating committee consisting of Fernando Reimers, Dana Carmichael-Tanaka, David Chapman, Maria Teresa Tatto, and James Williams.  Thirty-three CIES members contributed annotated bibliographies.
