Within the first month of appointment civil servants are required to file their asset declarations. They are then required to update their information every year as well as at each promotion. Civil servants are not recruited round the year but only once a year at its beginning.

Can the declaration be filed electronically?

The declaration cannot be filed electronically. It has to be a paper submission. It is a bulky package and all supporting documents are required to be submitted. The form is easily available and is mailed to the civil servant as well. The detailed form includes elaborate instructions on valuations and assessments.

 

Latvia

Mexico

Yes. They file the declaration when they first enter public service or when re-entering public service after 60 days of finishing the last public assignment. Public servants also file a declaration of patrimony when they are transferred to other department, and when ending their service. Officials have to declare their assets every year in May.

First declaration within 30 days of assuming the position; within 5 days of the transmittal by the president to the senate of the nomination of an individual. Thereafter, file on or before May 15 of the succeeding year, and 30 days after the termination.
