and Advisory Activities (AAA)
World
Bank lending operations are complemented by Analytical and Advisory
Activities, which include both standard Economic and Sector Work
(ESW), e.g., China’s provincial public expenditure review,
less formal ‘just-in-time’ policy advice, e.g., policy
note on Macedonia’s fiscal decentralization, and non-ESW activities
including workshops, seminars, conferences, etc. The analytical work
undertaken by the World Bank is designed to support the intergovernmental
framework and strengthen the capacity of subnational governments.
A list
